Management Consultant

hybrid
181 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5H 3M7
full-time . September 11, 2025

Description

We’re looking for management consultants who turn strategy into outcomes – people who can map out strategy, design operating models, and stick around to stand them up. You’re comfortable moving from boardroom framing to pilots, handoffs, capability‑building and benefits tracking. This is not just an "advisory" role, it is an implement and make‑it‑work role.

Who We Are
Founded in 2008, Blue-Mark is a Toronto-based organizational effectiveness consultancy that works with leaders and teams to significantly improve their ability to FOCUS on what really matters; ALIGN people, process, and expectations; and IMPLEMENT meaningful and sustainable change. Blue-Mark has established long-term relationships with North America's top organizations and has guided them through many of their largest business transformations.

We hire on a rolling basis. Apply any time; when opportunities arise, we review submissions and contact qualified candidates to discuss next steps.

What You’ll Be Doing
Design and deliver (majority of your time)
  • Diagnose how work actually gets done; translate strategy into operating model choices (structure, roles, accountabilities, forums/governance, processes, performance measures, enabling tech).
  • Collaborate on design from people perspective and sequence implementation: MVPs/pilots, roadmaps, dependency and risk management, change impacts and readiness, and adoption metrics.
  • Stand up what you design: spin up working forums, codify processes and accountabilities, define KPIs/OKRs, establish cadence/rituals, decommission the old, and track benefits.
  • Build client capability so improvements stick: coach leaders, train teams, and leave behind clear playbooks.
Lead clients and stakeholders
  • Facilitate executive and cross‑functional working sessions that make decisions, not just build decks.
  • Bring pragmatic challenges, frame trade‑offs, and keep sponsors aligned on scope, outcomes and measures.
  • Integrate change leadership with delivery (communications, training, field feedback loops) without losing execution momentum.
Build the firm
  • Create IP, tools and templates; mentor teammates; help shape our practices.
  • Support growth through proposals, statements of work, and lasting client relationships.

What You Need to Succeed

Core Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in consulting or 5+ years in corporate roles delivering end‑to‑end initiatives where something new launched and stuck.
  • Proven ability to move from analysis to action: you’ve mapped processes, designed structures/governance, and led execution to measurable outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management across levels; credible with senior executives.
  • Structured problem‑solving and synthesis (qual + quant ideally); crisp, executive‑ready communication and materials (PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; organized, accountable, and biased to action.

Differentiating Qualifications:
  • Operating model / organization design experience (roles, spans & layers, governance forums).
  • Program or transformation office leadership; Agile delivery experience.
  • Experience in leading teams in commercial, operations, finance/FP&A, supply chain, or enterprise functions (HR, IT) is a plus.
  • Change management expertise as an enabler of delivery (planning, impact assessments, adoption measurement).
  • Data‑driven decision support (dashboards/OKRs, benefits tracking), process design, and capability‑building experience.

Personal Characteristics:
  • Pragmatic builder mindset; low‑ego collaborator who listens well and challenges constructively.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can turn complexity into simple actions.
  • Ownership, resilience, and discretion with sensitive information.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Masters degree or higher in Business Administration / Management or Organizational Psychology an asset.

Location:
We employ a hybrid work model. You will split your time working from Blue-Mark’s downtown office, at client sites, and remotely.

Compensation and Perks:
  • Industry competitive salaries and a performance bonus
  • A comprehensive benefits package with health, dental and vision coverage, RRSP matching and parental leave top up is available to all employees.
  • Monthly events organized by our social committee, where the entire team can catch up and connect!
  • Learning and development opportunities to help build your skills and advance your career.
  • Early and frequent exposure to senior-level client leadership, including C-Suite contacts - we don't hide our consultants away in a back room to work on decks.

How to apply
Submit your résumé and a brief cover letter describing a project where you implemented a solution end‑to‑end. Tell us: the problem, what you designed, how you landed it, and the measurable outcomes.

Blue‑Mark is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and will provide accommodations during the recruitment process upon request.

Compensation

$90,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
